Day 1
Arrive in Ushuaia and transfer independently to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2
Morning at leisure in Ushuaia. Transfer in afternoon from hotel to pier to embark M.S. Andrea. Depart early evening, cruising through scenic Beagle Channel for Antarctica.
Day 3
At Sea, bound for the Falkland Islands.
Day 4 -5
Falkland Islands. Make wildlife viewing landings at West Point and Carcass Islands for Magellanic, Gentoo and Rockhopper penguins, albatross and blue-eyed shag. Our visit will also include the town of Stanley, a bit of old England in the South Atlantic.
Day 6-7
At Sea, heading for the South Georgia Islands.
Day 8-11
South Georgia. Amidst some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, go ashore for huge rookeries of King and Gentoo penguins and thousands of Southern Elephant and fur seals. We'll also explore the once-thriving whaling station of Grytviken and visit Shackleton's gravesite.
Day 12
At Sea, heading for the Antarctic Peninsula.
Day 13
At Sea and Shingle Cove, South Orkney Island.
Day 14-17
Depending on weather and ice conditions, the captain and expedition leader will direct the vessel to a variety of destinations on and around the Peninsula, to optimize Zodiac landings and wildlife viewing opportunities. This may include Cuverville Island, Paradise Bay, Lemaire Channel, Neko Harbor and Petermann Island, among others.
Day 18-19
Drake Passage Crossing.
Day 20
Ushuaia. Disembark following breakfast, and transfer to the airport.

Fuel surcharge: due to the continued high expense of marine fuel oil, surcharges will be in effect for all 2007-2008 Antarctica cruises: January 17--$280 per person.
*Landing fee for January 17 voyage is a preliminary estimate to be charged by South Georgia government, and may change when announced officially.
All 2007-2008 expedition cruises include: One hotel night in Ushuaia prior to embarkation, transfers from hotel to ship, and transfer from ship to airport at conclusion of the cruise.

Travel Insurance: Medical Expense & Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation Insurance is mandatory, and included in the cruise rate.
