Korcula is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in
the Mediterranean region. The cathedral features work
by Tintoretto, and Marco Polo is said to have been born
in Korcula. At least, that is what the locals here believe. Walking tour of the town and island
tour with wine tasting.*
Pomena, Mljet
In Homer’s odyssey, Mljet is the island of the beautiful
Calypso. Perhaps she lived in Pomena, a small fishing
village surrounded by dense pine forests. A walk in the national park and
visit to the monastery of Santa Maria.*
Kotor/Montenegro
The old part of the town of Kotor is a very special place.
Almost every one of its buildings is several hundred years old.
Many were built in the Roman style, but some of them show
Venetian influences. Kotor – as well as the bay of the same
name – is a UNESCO Site of Natural and Cultural Heritage.
City walking tour.*
Gospa od Skrpjela, Montenegro
Gospa od Skrpjela is one of two islands in the Bay of Kotor. It was partly built on old sunken
ships. There is a church on the islet, for which construction
began in 1452.
Dubrovnik/Croatia
Dubrovnik went down in history as one of the great sea republics under its former name of Ragusa. In its time, the city
was Venice’s main rival. Take a walk through the old town and visit the fortress*, and you will get a clear impression of life in the Middle Ages. The former grandeur of long ago now makes for a
bright and picturesque sight. City walking tour.*
Sibenik/Croatia
Not far from Sibenik are the picturesque waterfalls of the
river Krka. Especially in the early hours of the morning
this is an enchanting place, where nature is still unspoilt Excursion to the Krka waterfalls and a
tour of Sibenik.*
Pula/Croatia
Pula, situated on the Istrian peninsula, has a history
spanning almost 7,000 years. The symbol of the city
is its amphitheatre, which used to seat some 23,000
people. It is one of the largest ever built by the Romans. Walking tour with visit to the amphitheatre.*
